You and I Foundation


The You & I Foundation (YAIF) is a Ugandan NGO supporting underserved neighborhoods in Uganda, serving nationals and refugees living in the country. We take a 50-50 approach that spreads our resources and efforts equally among both populations, and we work to bridge cultural divides through exchanges, art, and collaborations. With the support of, we have built a school and community centers in Kyebando Kisalosalo as well as a center in Nakivale Refugee camp; these centers offer tailored programming in each location to address the needs of the community.





Sustainable Development Goals


Our Programs consist of:

1. Music For a Mission (KaribbeanRecordz)
You and I Foundation provides quality music education for free to the community and at-risk youth. Through music, we develop minds and build character. Setting high standards for our students, we provide challenges that foster discipline and self-esteem. Music For a Mission rewards commitment, respect, and accountability.

2. Computer Lab/ Makers Space
You and I Foundation provides free tech training, art classes, and access to:
3-D printers.
Tools and equipment for working with wood, metal, plastics, and more.
A ceramics lab.

3. Compost Toilets program
Students are trained in the advantages of composting toilets, how to build them, and how to use the created soil.




50 youths targeted per semester if covid allows.


25 compost toilets built to support sanitation in the community, and used to build healthy soil


2 impact locations, in Nakivale Refugee camp and Kyebando Kisalosalo ghetto built a school and community center, serving thousands of people
